abs light

Default abs light

hey i have an 04 f150 fx4 and i recently replaced my battery but when i connected the battery and started the car my abs light came on and stayed on. has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what i can do besides take it in to a mechanic?

Go to Oreillys or Autozone....they can scan it for free.
My guess would be a stored undervolt code. You could also try disconnecting the NEGATIVE cable for 10-15 mins to reset the module. Hope this helps...at least it gives ya a starting point

thanks! i just disconnected the battery and if that doesnt work ill probably go to autozone tomorrow. i already tried reading the code with my programmer but it didnt show up.

Same thing happened to mine after I jumped it and ended up having to replace the ABS Module...hope that isn't your case.

kinda sounds like what happened to me. i jumped it first and went to auto zone to get my battery tested and it failed so i bought a new one and put it in and thats when my abs light came on but thanks for the help!
