Angry Abs

The other day i heard a sound that i thought was my pads draging a little bit but it turned out to be the ABS wheel speed sensor rubbing on the sensor ring, that sensor was trashed so i tried to move the ring ( it moved mabe 2/10th of an in. so i picked up a new sensor and now i have the same proble all over again. btw its a 2006 2wd 4.6l ( has anyone been down this road) any help is appreciated when its light out again im gonna go and tear it apart again and see what i can find lookin for opinions or suggestions before i do though thanks

The sensor ring should not move at all. You need to find out why its loose.

Yes so i got a chance to tear all that crap apart this morning and i looked at my old rotors (kept em to get em turned for something like this) the ring moved slap up against the sensor and i took a short flat head screwdriver and put very little pressure on it and it moved so i put my old rotor on and problem solved i got the new rotors from advanced they have a warranty so im gonna get a new one and make sure that the ring dosent move. i finished just in time too cuz now its raining like a *I**H I think the ring moved b/c of sloppy assembly from the manufacturer it wasnt tight at all Thanks for a point in the right direction NGM

Make sure the rings have the same number of teeth, will mess up the readings that the sensors take if not the same. More teeth the sensor will think faster, less teeth sensor will think slower. Comprende, amigo.
