I've seen posts about gotts mod and have looked thru the steps. I see how u replace the piece that goes into the fender. I haven't seen anything on replacing the whole intake tube that has all the chambers on it. Seems like it would be alot better to replace that part as well. Has anyone replaced that piece with put buying a whole new CAI?

 

I cut the chambers off and plugged them.

 

This Gotts mod is kind of weird...

Is the air intake pulling air out of the fender to reduce intake noise or to get cleaner air? Would water splashing up from the tires on a rainy day fill that finder with water?
