91k sparkplug change
I have a guy that I go to church with that says he has a little trick to get them out without breaking them. I'm still trying to find out the trick but he did all 8 and none broke. Charged me $75 and I furnished the plugs. Felt like a good deal to me. I just hope it gets rid of the gas smell that comes throughout the a/c.
He said he does break some but usually no more than 2. As far as the gas smell. I had a intermit rough idle with a gas smell in the cab. I looked over everything good and couldn't find any leaks so I went ahead with plug change hoping a bad plug may have been the cause. I haven't drove it very much , but as of now I haven't noticed the gas smell since the plug change. I will give another update if this seems to have solved the problem. I also just bought the truck so I've got a lot of unknowns to work through
The trick he says is patience. He says once he breaks a plug loose he will move to the next one and never allows the plug to get hot from trying to turn it. He says once it starts to get warm you have already weakened the plug and will probably break it. He doesn't soak them in pb blaster or anything. I ran two bottles of seafoam with no ethanol premium gas. He says you need to be able to walk away and do other things and take all day to get them out to have the most success. Doesn't sound like much but it seems to work for him.
