Hey, I am about to purchase a new f150 supercrew but I'm having a problem. I don’t know if I should go with the 5.5 bed or the 6.5 bed. I'm used to having a 6-foot bed truck, but I feel that the 4 door trucks look better with the smaller bed. I want to make sure I make the right decision, let me know what you think. Thanx

 

im a short bed kind of person supercrew i would go with 5.5 anything else i would go with the 6.5

 

I like the 5.5' beds.

 

If you own or even consider buying a full size 4-Wheeler or motorcycle of any significant size, the short bed will not hold much.

I saw a x cab with the 5.5 bed today, it was fricking ugly.

 

I have found after my vehicle searching that the dealerships typically will have Supercabs with 6.5ft beds and Supercrews with 5.5ft beds. My suggestion is to order an 08 model the way you want it.

 

If you could wait a few years I would go with the 09's with the diesel, that they are suposedly going to have.

I have the 5.5 bed. There have been a few times that I wish I had the 6.5. Its kinda funny, I can put longer stuff in my wife's truck and close the tailgate than mine. She has a Ranger. If I were buying a brand new one it would have the 6.5.
