5.4L Upper Intake Manifold
Hey guys,
I am in need of changing the upper intake manifold on my 07 F-150 to a metal upper intake manifold.
Does anybody know what is available or if different years had a metal upper intake manifold?
It can be a stock style, or a performance intake it doesn't matter to me
Hope you folks can help.

Is there a reason you feel you need to change the intake manifold to metal? The 3 valve 5.4's never had an issue with cracking manifolds that certain years of the 2 valves had.

I am building a wood gasifier on the back of my truck. If you're not familiar with a wood gasifier I suggest you look up Wayne Keith wood gasifier on YouTube.
Bottom-line the system will make carbon build up inside of the upper intake and will catch on fire and burn itself out.
This is not a problem on an intake that is metal but a plastic intake may not like being on fire from the inside

Ok, so I watch the video. An old hippie who thinks the whole system will come crumbling down the instant oil stops being produced, so we need something to fall back on. Well, you have ethanol produced through hemp and switch grass. Much better than this. The fact that he mentions it produces 25-30% less power sure doesn't make it a very viable system.

Oh my **** you're an idiot.
There were a million vehicles running on wood gas during World War II.
Do you have an answer to my original question or are you just a ****ing troll that doesn't know anything at all?

Its okay to disagree. But no name calling or anything like that . We don't do that here . We are here to help and learn . When I was young I did put one of those water bottles on my junk truck carburetor .Steam cleaned that engine .We all like a little experiment when we are learning . Keeps life interesting .
