5.4 Pulley Layout?
Do any of you know which pulley is located directly to the upper-right of the oil filter on an 04 5.4?
I searched to no avail =(
Thanks!

so, i think the crankshaft pulley is ever so slightly wobbly. can this cause a *whiring* type noise, like that of a fan blade perhaps? does this pulley ever really go bad?

I had a nasty "whiring" noise. I would explain it like a bell ringing. I replaced the idler pulley on the passenger side and it was fixed. Try an remove the idler pulleys and spin them on your finger, you will know which one is bad.

actually yes, it is. at a stop, if i take my foot off of the brake and roll a few feet, the truck vibrates VERY badly, but not all the time, only after the truck has been running for 5 miles or so. would this be a symptom of what youre talking about?

If the balancer is like the ones I have seen before, it will look like a pulley with a thick piece of rubber wrapped around it. Take a look at it and see if you can move the rubber at all. If you can, it's a tell tale sign it's bad.
Check your idler and tensioner pulleys to make sure the bearings are good.
