Default 5.4 prob again

Is it possible that while putting the intake back on if I pinched one of the wires under the intake, would it cause a short and make the electrical system go crazy,ie, no low beams , gauges going crazy ect? Need this fixed tiday, any help would be great. I checked the ground on the starter and the body ground. Is there another I may have missed during the engine install??

Have you looked into the suggestions on the other thread that you made?

Also, I'm curious if you ever got the whole oil on dipstick thing figured out?

I had a cell go bad out on a battery that did the exact thing. Pull your battery off and try with a different one to verify.

Ok guys, yes the oil thing is figured out, I put the 7th quart in and it's perfect. I had checked every connection and found they were all secure and no wires cut. I added an extra 2 gauge ground from the frame to the block. It was still acting up, then I was poking around the alternator and the plug popped off, so I pushed it in and now everything works, except the low beams!wtf! Any ideas guys?

Did you try going back to the basics? Check the fuse and relay.
Check to see if you have power at the headlight switch.

The high beams work. I don't recall if the lows worked when the truck was brought to me. Is there a fuseable link somewhere?
