5.4 plugs
Right before I left for a month overseas I said f it and dropped off my 06 with 80k at the dealer for a plug job, coolant flush, tranny flush w/filter and front and rear diff oil change.
The service tech called the wife to say they were done, and that one of the plugs was broken prior to changing. Anyone else ever had a broken plug with no codes showing up? I never noticed any change in power, etc.

I would bet they broke it trying to remove it...a very common issue...when the previous owner had the plugs changed on the F150 they list 4 broken during removal.

Break em.
It was a poor design and if they were OE plugs they are basically like potato chips. When I had my 06 I tried foolishly to do it myself. Broke 2, had it towed to the shop. They had it done in a couple hours. They told me that they actually found that it is easier to just break them than to try and save them. They told me they don't even charge extra because the extractor is so easy.

l also found it easier to just break them and use the extractor rather than trying to finesse the old ones out. Extractor tools are pretty cheap now, I think I got mine for about $65, one of the best investments I made!
