Looks like I got hooked up from the dealership. My warranty manual states exhaust manifolds are covered under emissions defect or performance warranty. It's only 3 year 36k mile warranty...

Ford only pays the dealership 5 hours for this warranty job but the tech took 12.5 hrs to do it. And that is their best guy on these damn manifolds...NO way was I gonna tackle that one! My entire roll away would have been laying on the ground next to the truck and I probably would have invented a few new cuss words in the process!

This makes me feel better about my experience because if I add up the hours thats about how long it took me, give or take. Glad you got it fixed though, enjoy the piece and quiet!

When mine go I'll be going with Stainless Works long tube headers. And with that I will pay a dealer to take care of it. No way can I fit my massive hands around all that Triton.

Been working on this job this weekend. I got my passenger side manifold off today. all but 2 nuts were too rusty to even turn, 4 i had to tack weld new nuts on the stud, and the last 2 i had to cut off close to the manifold and then grind flush.

The job is bad, but it wouldn't have been a nightmare if it wasn't for the front bottom bolt. I would have payed $200 for somebody to get that bolt out last night.

Waiting on a new manifold to put it back together. After that job i'm not risking putting my old one back on. I'm goin golfing and relax tomorrow

Time to kick back and have a couple of cold ones brother. When you're done you'll be saying to yourself it was a job well done. And even better if you never have to do it again!

Thats the same stud I struggled with, in the worst location. Good luck with the rest of the repair.

Got 'er done. The worst part on reassembly was putting the starter back on. What a pain. I also neglected to go buy beer before I started today, which didn't help.

I gotta say, I don't think I'd do this job again. It is awesome though hearing just my engine again. I forgot what it sounded like.

My only tip is, have every different brand, length, style of 13mm wrench, 3/8 drive ratchet, swivel adapter, and extensions.
