I figured out that when the truck is off the hubs are locked like they are suppose to be but when it's running I can't get them to lock

If you can't get them to lock while running, then you either have completely blocked vent lines (very unlikely), or a bad solenoid or solenoid connection. When you flip the switch you're basically 'telling' the solenoid to release vacuum, and that obviously isn't happening. If neither side is locking I would suspect a bad solenoid or loose/damaged electrical connection.

well I figured out the problem it was the solenoid before I bought the iwe's I replaced the it thinking that's why they were grinding but the new solenoid didn't work so I put the old one in with the new one's cover and it works like a charm. thanks for the help guys
