4x4 Problems
I have a 2006 Ford F150 4 door 4X4 with the 5.4L. The truck has 19500 miles. When I put it in 4 wheel drive (high), and then when I start to back the truck acts like the emergency brake is on. I have to give it alot of gas to get the truck going and the truck feels like it has the brakes on or like its trying to pull a full grown tree out of the ground.
Has anyone else had this problem?

same thing
that has happened to me before after my son was playing around in the cab but i took it out of 4x4 and drove it out the land and tried to make it duplacate the problem but no luck so after about 45 minutes in the mud
I gave up and when back to the house. about 2 week later thanks to my son it did it again backing out of the driveway I have come to the conclusion that with the leveling kit on the truck the axle shafts are pretty stressed already and if you put the truck in a situation were the tire can't slip and have to stick to the road it make it very hard to maneuver

It does it anytime I put it into 4x4 high. I think it may be the transfer case. I dont think the leveling kit could be doing it. I could just be backing the truck up with an empty trailer or without a trailer and it will do it if I turn the wheels just a little. Sometimes even if I'm just backing straight up.
