Default 4wd not locking in

Found out this morning that my four wheel drive does not work on my 06 F150. It clicks and the light in the cab comes on, but the front wheels don't spin.

Mine did the same thing. The solenoid was frozen. Pull the vacuum lines off the solenoid if the fronts lock up its the solenoid.

If its the solenoid pop the cap on top of the solenoid. There is a small hole get an allen wrench that fits in there and push down with the solenoid deenergized. The rubber seal on the piston had stuck to the seat.

Or you can go buy a new solenoid with the rain guard on it for about $40
