Angry 4WD no worky

The other day we had snow so I tried to put my truck in 4WD. Brake, gear select to neutral, switch to 4H, No light, no soft solenoid click. I have tried several times since. No luck. Also noticed later that my fog lamp indicator lamp was not on even though the light switch was pulled out. Foglight light indicator is working now but still not "4H" or "4L" light when moving switch. Both lamps come on during start up light test. Any ideas what is going one here? Thanks gang!

The switch can go bad, I've seen a few threads about it recently. If it is completely unresponsive, it's probably the switch.

4hi engages with truck in gear and slight movement forward. Pretty sure once in 4hi, you can then engage 4lo by putting in neutral with brake pressed.

could be the iwe solenoid on the firewall behind the battery, they are notorious for going out, mine did and had same symptoms as yours.
replaced it and everything workin' fine...

Yes, checking the fuse ^^^ is the best place to start. These Transfer Cases are electronically controlled, unlike my previous truck that had the cable-driven floor shifter.
