4wd does not work?? help

Yes, both the cv rotated while in 4wd with the front end up. But the tires didn't turn.

If the CVs are turning, but the wheels aren't, I can't think of anything other than the IWEs that it could be. Strange that both of them went out at the same time, and that they are stuck in 2wd.

Did you check if the CVs turned with the wheels with the truck off?

If CV's are spinning, and there's vacuum to the hubs (and lines are connected to the hubs), then bad IWE's are the only solution. Rare that both seals would go, but not impossible.

my buddy is taking his truck to ford for a vacuum line recall.. hopefully they can cancel out the Brake Booster being the issue.. and we can go ahead a replace the IWE's

well its been a while and heres the update... Uncommonly both the IWE's needed to be replaced.. the job took about 90 mins!! and we got the 4WD to work properly thanks everyone!
