I have a 2006 Ford F-150, the truck has a 4.6 motor with a 2wd automatic transmission I have a set of 20in rims with 33s AT tires on it oh and it also has 486k miles on it and I drive it everyday 50 miles one way to work. Well I was watching some burnout videos on YouTube and I was wanting to try to do one on the street and nothing... So I moved over to my back yard to do some damage and the truck seemed to be with no power to do a burnout on the grass either. The truck seems to try to do a burnout but it doesn't have much power to do one. I use my truck on the highway majority of the time and it runs great

You trying to do a "brake stand" If so you're holding too hard on the brake pedal.

Yes if that's the correct way to say it. But I even floor the gas pedal and the truck is hesitant takes off slow and it just takes off.

Sounds like rather than trying to do a breakstand, you're trying to blow a u-joint!

Hold the brakes and apply throttle (rev that b1+(#!) Slowly let off the brake until wheels spin and you smell burning rubber. Keep the brakes on a little so you wont roll forward.

What a good story on a real work horse truck . She won't last long if you keep it up . Massive failures will overtake her . New reman 7k , reman trans 3k .
I was young and foolish at one time ,my poor 57 ford paid the price including a crash at 100mph .

Rear axle ratio plays a part in this. What's yours? Probably too stiff to really power through brakes and traction.
