4 wheel drive
I have a 2004 F-150. When I put my truck in 4 wheel drive the front wheels are not engaging.

Yes I put the truck in neutral first. It just recently stopped working.

Can you hear the transfer case? like trying to lock or something?

If it is an electronic shift on the fly, its common for the switches to go bad. thats where i would start.

those shift on the fly systems are a pain, thats why every truck i own from now on will have a manual transfer case.

its prob your vaccum lines or your IWE solenoid not working properly
