hello out there. ive been wandering around for a while and seen some cool mods/upgrades seemingly only on the 5.4 engine. I was wondering if we could compile a 4.6 mod/upgrade and possibly trouble/trouble shooting thread?

The reason you are seeing more 5.4 threads is because they have more issues than the 4.6. Don't get me wrong, 4.6 has varying issues as well, but nowhere near the 5.4. Modifications, upgrades, etc... forum would be cool. But most everything except the engine is the same between the two. Each engine has good and bad, just gotta be the lucky one to get one without issues. The 4.6 is doggy compared to the 5.4, but is a workhorse with minimal issues.

 

yes a mod/upgrade thread is mainly what I was looking for. but the trouble(shooting)'s thread was just a bonus if we got one going I think... I personally own 2 4.6's and love this forum, so I think it would be nice to see an engine specific thread. now I don't think that specifying between 2 and 3v engines is realistic. too much clutter on the board imo, but engine sizes (eb's 4&6's, 4.2, 4.6, 5.0, 5.4's) or something along those lines, would be helpful to some of the new guys and maybe even some of the guys that have been here a while...
