I've had a 3 inch for 2 1/2 years now no problems. That's a myth about the ball joints to.

I wouldn't be very concerned with the cv angles I have had my 3 inch level for years now and use 4 low all the time in high stress situations and have never had a cv issue. Upper ball joints are more of a concern then cv angles. My .02

I've got a 2.5" level on my 06 2wd. Perfectly level.
