Smile 35's with just a lvl?

I have a 2004 f150 4x4. I'm looking into buying a set of 18x9 kmc xd rockstars, and 35x12.50 nitto mudgrapplers. I have a 2.5" hellbent steal leveling kit. I was wondering if the 35's are going to look to big for my truck at the time being, because in the near future I'm getting a 3" lift. So do you think the 35's are a nehh or yehh..

your gonna have a hard time fitting 35's with 18x9's with only a 2.5" leveling, even with a 3" kit, i hope you don't mean a skyjacker kit, your still gonna have issues especially with mud grapplers. i can rub my 35's and i got a rancho suspenion lift. i would stick with 33's

It sounds like you are concerned with how it will look, and not clearance. If that is the case, I say go for it. I love it when a tire fills the wheel well. However, clearance will probably be an issue.

They will rub until you get your lift.

Now what if he shaves or cuts the wheel vances, will they still rub?I onlly as because theirs a f-150 4x4 and a auto springs 2,5inch leveling kit with 35inch mudders and all he did was cut his wheel vances and he has no rubbing issues(ecept when he turns his wheels all the way(which is actually bad for the stearing wheel pump as it puts stress on it)now this is what i haev heard from a few auto shop(now i could be wrong thoe)anyways ya again he has no rubbing issues exept for turning all the way.But most of us dont turn the wheel all the way and he wouldnt have any rubbing like the guy i see around my area.

I have a 2.5" leveling kit with 325/65/R18 on stock rims. I had to trim the bumber a tiny bit, and it rubs when I cut the tire all the way. It hits a metal arm (the UCA maybe)? I don't know what it's called but it hits something that looks important .

So, in short....it's doable.

35's on stock rims or on aftermarket rims with similar specs to a factory wheels is doable, either way he will have to trim the valance.

running a 13 wide tire on a stock rim is just asking for trouble, just because it's doable, don't mean it's right

I've had those tires for about a year with no problems.....wearing fine. What potential "trouble" can come from it?
