3373 miles - new engine
So all accessories will be on the new engine? like the pulleys, alternator, waterpump and such? If so that's pretty sweet. A concern I had was the workmanship that possibly could lead to future repairs.
The engine that will be delivered by Ford will be a "long block". There can be a few "definitions" of the term longblock, but I'll assume it will require the AC compressor, power steering pump, injectors, throttlebody, air cleaner assembly, exhaust manifolds, and alternator all of which will be removed from your old engine. After all, those items did not fail, just the engine itself.
Do not worry about the resale value. As others have stated, replacing the engine this early in the trucks life is not going to cause you any resale hardship.
Be very grateful that you have a dealership that is going this route for you. Not too long ago, another member of this forum had engine difficulty, and had to escalate his claim up the service ladder so to speak. He ended up having to deal with regional service reps and the like before he finally won his case.
You are in good shape. I'd bring a couple dozen donuts to the service department the day I pick up the truck, and shake the hand of the service manager that took care of you.

Got the truck back today, after just one week!
Talking to the mechanic was good. Though it sounds like this might be a problem with the engines in general. They are not sure, but the mechanics at Ford HQ had said "this might be an issue". What it essentially was, was a washer in the back of the crank coming off, leaving the crank to move front to back causing an oil leak by the front main seal and shaving off metal inside (I guess the bearings and/or crank and/or cylinder walls). However, no need to worry yet before the warranty expires.
I gotta send out a thank you to Cassandra (Service advisor) and Tim (Mechanic) at Castle Ford in Silver Spring for doing a great job getting my truck back on the road with minimal hassle for me. I dropped it off and picked it up a week later.
And thanks to you guys that responded on this thread, making me feel better while having this misfortune.
Time to hit the road again!

Without a doubt this is a deal breaker on a resale. If the buyer is savy enough to have access to an Oasis report and sees the motor was swapped, chances are they will ask for another 40% off. Try to get another truck if you can handle the hit financially and let the dealer worry about getting rid of it at auction. (i guarrantee they wont put it on their lot)
