Hey guys! I have a 2004 f150 4x4 that I’m rebuilding the front end on soon and while doing so looking to upgrade my UCA’s to a set of 2-4” KSP’s and changing my struts. I currently have a 3” ready lift puck that I’ve had for years and running 33x12.50 tires. I do quite a bit of highway driving and caliche roads as well. Going for comfort but not expecting a Cadillac ride. My current thoughts and options are:
A. Replace with oem struts and keep the puck
B. Go aftermarket (fox, icon, etc) and max them out for as close to 3” as I can
C. Go aftermarket and keep the puck
any thoughts and recommendations are appreciated! If aftermarket, share your experiences with the brands you’ve used. Thanks in advance!
I'll say I had some icons (back when they were Donohue) and they rode like butter at about 1.5" level setting. Much smoother than stock with a puck.
I have some Bilstein 5100s waiting to go on the current truck but haven't had a chance to install yet.

Thanks for the input! I’ve been mostly tempted to go with an aftermarket strut and keep the puck (as most only go to a 2.5” if you max them out) and I’d like to keep the 3” look so this helps!
