Default 3 inch strait pipe on 4.6, dangerous????

well im done with the muffler game. flowmaster, magnaflow, ect dosent have the sound i want so i wanna strait pipe my 4.6 with 3 in from the cats to the back..........herd it would burn up my valves and cause other problems tho..........anyone done this?

you should be ok, thats as big as i would ever go though, the bigger the slower the gases escape and thats when you run into issues

i just took off my roush muffler and replaced it with a straight pipe. sounds much better but i went from 3in to 2.25.

I ran straight exhaust for a while. Didn't hurt anything,and was pretty loud.
