Doesnt look like he's from this country. Not that bad for second language. Im betting I would be worse typing out his. I have 285/70/17 BFG's on my 04 scab with 2 1/2" AS level. They dont rub at all, including when the plow is on. Wheels are aftermarket also. They fit well and look great. Not sure on gas mileage, I dont keep track of it.

The 265 is pretty much stock but I can get a really good deal on some 285's Toyo's from a local guy. My question is would the 285's cause problems like rubbing or bad MPG's? I'm running stock rims.
They make 285x70x17's and 285x65x18's that will fit on a stock height 4x4. I'm guessing you have the 17" wheel's. Toyo makes a good AT tire and I'm sure will like them on your truck. I had the same size 17" Toyo's and they maybe dropped my mpg only about 1 mpg in city driving.

I have the 17" rims. Sorry i forgot to mention it. Just want to know what to expect. I really love that this truck gets better gas mileage than my V6 Explorer did.

Buddy of mine with a 06 Xlt Super cab leveled 4x4 with 35's,speedo was off by 4 miles an hour, and only lost about 1mpg.Will be doing same set up as him when i get my 35's mounted and balanced on my stock rims and will let you know what my mpg's are.I don't really care about my mpgs tho,but just curios to see how much mine will decrease.

That's how my Toyo 285x70x17's looked. A little too small for me but I got up to 18 mpg hwy with them. I went to a 295x70x17 Toyo MT to fill in the wheelwells a little more but lost about 1 to 2 mpg in the process.

I have a 2007 F-150 XLT Triton 4x4 with a 5.4 V8 with 17" stock wheels running 255's stock tires. My question is: Can I put 295-70-17's without a leveling kit? Due for a new set of tires very soon! Any in put would be great.

That was my sarcasm shining through for Larry Lynn and his perpetual BS on this forum
