2009 Emblems on a 2006?
Be aware that if you decide to do the tailgate also that........
1. You will have to grind off the snap in tabs with a die grinder, and grind the ends to sit flush.
2. You can not grind enough to make the new tailgate emblem flat enough to sit completely flush, but that shouldn't matter. They look great.
I had problems with removing my old ones, but still a good project. Tried everything recommended on this board and it still left adhesive residue on the clearcoat.

Yep, peanut butter works great. I've also used it to remove gum that got ground into carpet from some little rug rat that doesn't know how to throw out their gum, but rather spits it out onto a parking lot. Then you and I get to step in it, and unknowingly step into our trucks and smear it on the carpet. The oils in the peanut butter dry up the gum so that it easily flakes off and vacumns right up.
As to the new F150 emblems, I too like them, and would also put them on my 2005 truck. Has anyone priced them out? I keep forgetting to ask my dealer parts department what they cost when I'm there.
