I'm new to the forum, but have been reading a lot and learned a lot. The infamous spark plug problem had me worried but heard that 2008 had been redesigned. Learned that if your 5.4 motor has a build date later than 10/12/2007 and a code of BB, then you have the new design. This info is located on the valve cover on the driver side. I have 14k miles on my 2008 KR and was curious, so I removed one plug and thought I'd take some pics and post it here. These are platinum and I have a feeling that I'll be changing at around 90k or even 100k without worry.

I assume these are backwards compatable with all the 3v motors, but you know what they say about assumption. Anyone know for sure?

 

No, they will not fit the earlier models, hence the BB code on the valve cover, found that out from Troyer
