Default 2008 Limited f150 transmission problem

Not sure if anybody can help me. I have a 2008 F150 limited and I'm having problems with the transmission ( I cruise at 15mph let of the gas and when it shifts down it feels like I'm getting hit in the rear - bang - I also feel it grinding when it's trying to get into the gear) took it to a well known transmission place ..he had it off and on for over a month...replaced some gears..lubed up drive shaft supposedly, put shift kit in then took it out and put a new valve body in..ended up paying $1,500.00.. Still doing the exact same thing...he said he can out in a new computer and it would cost me $1,000.00.obviously told him to don't touch my truck...truck has 80,000 miles...if anybody out there has a problem like this and can point me in the right direction that would be awesome..also if I stop suddenly it sometimes bangs each gear as it down shifts...any help would be greatly appreciated i really don't feel like getting rid of it...

Have you had any luck fixing the problem. I have a 08 limited also and it started doing this exact same thing at 94000. Took the truck to a local shop and they do not have a clue what the cause is.

Its called change your spark plugs and put new boots and coils on your COP's. Clean your MAF and throttle body (by removing it). Change your air filter and fuel filter as well. THis has been discussed NUMEROUS times. People think it a trans problem when they simply need a tune-up.

This may be a longshot, but my 08 Limited had an issue with low-speed shifting. Google for and read up on Ford TSB 8-14-3 to see if you are experiencing any of the symptoms indicated. At low speeds, my RPM flared up between 3rd and OD. Once it caught, it banged really hard. The TSB fixed my issues. Zero shift issues since it was completed.

The truck has brand new plugs and coil packs. The shifting problem occured before and after the plug and pack change. I will see about the tsb thanks for the info.
