Default 2008 ipad mini in dash

Okay, so I have seen this done specifically with nexus 7 tablets and such in ford Rangers. As well as iPhone 6 Plus. I have an iPad mini that's laying around. I used to use it for college. Don't really touch it anymore. And I need a new headunit for the truck. The cheap Tview is well, cheap! I was looking at a kenwood excelon to replace the headunit. Yeah it will fit right in and hook up fine. But what fun is that?? Thinking about trying to make the iPad mini fit in the truck. I know I will need cables and adapters and such to keep the iPad charged as well as to hook up steering wheel controls and such. It can be done.. I found a YouTube video on it. Also the f150 has a ton of room behind the dash so mounting a small amp shouldn't be an issue. Looking to see if anyone else has done this? Or something similar! Any help, advice or warnings would be appreciated!!

There are a couple threads already about this. Maybe try a search? Or maybe someone else can do it for you and post the links here. Either way, the info is out there just gotta search for it.

Did a search.. Looks as if no mods are needed besides relocating the headunit and hooking a charger up.
