Any name brand oil with an API rating of SM or SN in the weight your owners manual states changed on a regular interval.

ditto. I might go wish a high mileage oil. Get a good oil filter. People laugh, but WalMart sells good oil cheap.

I wouldn't head towards high-mileage oil unless you're getting seal leaks. 5w-30 might be worth-while if you think your miles are getting up there.

I'm running Castrol 5W30 Full Synthetic. Walmart has it for $17.99 for a 5 quart jug.

Default My oil opinon

I go with the motorcraft brand oil and filter. 5-20 in the winter, and 5-30 in the summer. Change it around 4000 miles.

That's what I do. I drive about 80 mi. per day, mostly highway, so my oil stays dry and relatively clean. As a result I push my oil changes out to about 6,000 mi.
