Ok, behind the trim panel that surrounds the gage cluster there is a plug that is connected to nothing?
This is on the left side of the steering wheel, the plug is snapped into a receptacle behind the panel but it's just a placebo..
What is this plug for?

Mine has this too.... I think it's for adjustable pedals... but not sure.... maybe someone will chime in who does know.

 

I think it might be for a brake controller. Even though we don't have one we can still put one in and Ford uses the same harnesses for almost all of their trucks. So I think it is for a brake controller but don't quote me on that.
