I'm thinking of buying a 08. I notices the forms are split up 04-08 what changed in 09?

 

Uh.... The whole truck. 09 was the redesign year for ford. That's when the new body style came out

 

ALOT changes, some highlight points though are the 2009's came with 6 speed transmssions, better tuned 5.4's, trailer sway control. But really alot is different, those are just some huge differences.

 

So should I forgo a 08 and try to find a 09 or newer? I tried to search for 09 changes all I get is oil changes. LOL

 

If you wanna know what changed google 2008 ford f150 specs and 2009, 2010 or 2011 specs compare the same models ie xlt, fx4, lariat ect. You will see more changes in the 2011s. But doing this is a good way to see, and learn what they have

 

My opinion is stay away from the 1st year after any major changes. Just ask my GF about her 2002 Explorer ... lol. Worst rated vehicle on carcomplaints.com

But then again, i thought I was OK buying an 08 F150 instead of an 04 which was another year of major changes and it still has all the same engine problems! Unfortunately my 08 was made 1 month prior to the plug changes and havent tackled that yet but at 47,000 its coming this spring.

 

08 was the last year for our body style... 09 was when they released the latest style... they changed nearly everything... exterior is entirely different... interior is entirely different... mechanics are different... everything
