With it being a work truck save your money on those rims/tires and just get some used factory lariat or XLT chrome package wheels off craigslist or ebay. It will be cheaper and you won't feel as bad when they get dinged up (which will happen for a work truck).

Tint is a good place to start since it's cheap but makes a big difference in looks. Leveling kit is in the same ballpark... cheap, easy, big difference in looks.

Save your money on the air filter since it's a few hundred dollars and it's not that big of a difference. It helps, yes, but there are cheaper ways to get more power. Also, on the newer engines they come from the factory about as lean as they can safely run. Changing air intakes without a tune will put you into "unsafe" levels of A/F ratio... some argue this but most agree. The decision is up to you. Do some research first.

Welcome to the forums!!! Now how about you make a signature that tells what year and model you have (including color), then post some pics so we have an idea what you are starting with.

changing the air filter itself will not hurt. if you went with the whole cold air intake, then you may run into some problem. as for the wheels, i would say it depends on what kind of work your doing.

Ive got a set of chrome wheels I want to get rid of- Im in the Albany, NY area and not shipping them though.

Honestly if your name isnt on the title I wouldnt spend any money on the truck.

I agree I don't want to put any serious money into it but if i am using this as a work/personal truck then i have to do something to make it look better.

I think I might just save my money and buy a used jeep and put my money into that.
