2007 STX drivetrain issue
Hey all,
I have an interesting issue. I bought a 2007 STX 4x2 9 months ago. When I bought it, there was a gringing noise, and the dealer replaced the pinion bearing. Then they balanced the drive shaft to correct a vibration. Soon after the 90 day warranty was up, it started to make a slight whining noise at highway speed. It was so slight I thought it might just be wind noise. Recently i towed a popup camper 60 miles, and now there is a grinding noise and vibration between 50-60 mph, and it feels like there is drag somewhere, almost like im towing something. The diff is a 8.8 limited slip. I don't have a lot of money to blow right now, and it is out of warranty. When its vibrating, the bed doesnt look like it is bouncing, so i dont think it is that. Any ideas? Where to start? Wheel bearings? U joints? No changes when turning.
