Buy it for 4,000 put another 4,000 into it, you still have a good truck for cheaper than the "fair" condition private party value through KBB.

You can get that truck with a working motor for 7 grand. Low ball him. He'll be calling back when no one else buys it.

I have tried. It's actually a long story ones gone give him 6,500 for it today was the deal we made earlier in the week so unsold my truck to buy it... Then he completely backed out on me which left me looking for a new ride. Then he decided after it needed a motor he would sell it no less then 7,000. But i found a clean 10th gen I'm gonna go buy today and let him sell his problem to someone else since I've already had the run around over it. Anyways thanks guys! I know this is done and over with... However the guy sounded like an *******... I have always hated that about buying and selling vehicles.. It royally pisses me off when someone commits to a deal and then decides to back out on it.. I had done to me at one point when I bought my 09. ****er tried raising the price at the last minute.. None the less I wish you the best of luck with your new to you truck
