Default 2007 f150 shutter and Test code 5271.6

Hi. First post.

Driving home last night when my truck began to shutter intermittently. Check engine came on in the driveway. I pulled the code CAL t 5271.6 but can't find and interpretation online.

Any ideas?

Thanks

How did you pull that code?
That doesn't look like any trouble code I've seen. They usually start with a P and then 4 digits

My thoughts exactly. I held in the odometer peg and turned the key until the dash kit up. The odometer panel read TEST and after a few seconds that code displayed.

Sounds like you're testing the instrument cluster. I don't think that has anything to do with reading engine dtc. If you don't have a code reader take it to any parts store and borrow their scanner or have them scan it for you

You're in the dealer test mode for the cluster. There's really little information there for the neophyte, you really need to know what you're looking for there and why.

Google "Ford cluster dealer test mode" etc for multiple articles.
