Default 2007 5.4L Misfire code

I have returned to my beautiful Harley Davidson after a couple months of sitting and went to take it for a drive. Halted by a completely shot battery. I was finally able to take her out. Then it threw the check engine light and had the codes P0307 and P0316. Misfire on cylinder 7. I started my research on the forum and went to work. First I swapped the COP with 5. No luck, same codes. I had just done spark plugs 6000 miles ago so I didn't think that was the issue. So I went to swap fuel injectors to see if it would throw the code on another cylinder with that injector. Turns out there must have been junk in the injector becuase it is running perfect and not throwing any codes anymore. I'm thinking I'll get an injector on standby Incase but hopefully this will help someone with the same issue in the future before throwing money out the door on parts.

So.. when you did plugs 6000 mile ago.. did you replace boots and springs and what brand plugs were installed.. how many mile on your motor ? I thought Harley's came with a 6.2L.

I had the plugs replaced at the Ford dealership with the updated OEM plugs. I didn't want to deal with the headache others have encountered. None broke however when the shop pulled them. I did not replace any packs or springs. There was 105,000 miles when I replaced the plugs and have 111,000 now.
No 6.2L, it is the 5.4L non supercharged motor. Only thing I've had to replace on it is the radiator due to a hole from a rock on gravel and the AC compressor. Otherwise it's been solid with regular maintenance.

6.2s didn't show up till the '10 Raptor. Then SD's from '11-on after that.

OP is it possible your connectors had some corrosion in them? Changing things around may have cleaned them up enough to make better contact.

I'm not saying that isn't the case either. It had been setting for a while. When I swapped injectors 5 came out in just a few drops of fuel where as 7 sprayed pretty good when I pulled it. I'm not 100% sure of either. All I know is its running like a top again.
