Default 2007 5.4l electric fan conversion

I'm wanting to do an efan conversion, all the threads i've read and youtube videos i've watched seem to be for older model trucks that don't have the electronic fan clutch. I don't know to much about automotive electrical but I'm guessing without that wire harness from the fan clutch my dashboard is going to light up like a christmas tree. Any wiring advice would be very much appreciated.

Bump!

I'm looking to do an E-fan conversion on my 2004 5.4L too. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I did the conversion to my '08 about a year ago. All I did was unplug and remove the clutch with no negative consequences.

Was there a good write-up to follow? What brand E-fan did you go with? Thanks!

I want to do the conversion before summer hits. The A/C system sucks for city and stop & go traffic in So.California.

I'm going to run the 2010 fans, but not sure which controller is the best, most reliable one to use. I was going to use the Painless unit, but it's been discontinued. What controller did you go with and how is it holding up?

Default The one I used

I went a slightly different route from a seller on eBay. It has been flawless for the past year and not very complicated to install. I also changed to a slightly lower temp thermostat as I run MPT performance tune in either 87 or 93 octane all of the time. Also installed a Glowshift matching mechanical temp gauge.

This was the kit. You can search for it on eBay:

Looks nice. I'm hoping to do the Ford fans conversion for about the same price as that kit. I just have to decide on a controller.
