Default 2007 4.2 No rotation on start

2007 4.2 V6. The last few days the engine would turn over and start but it was really slow. I got it home and now it wont turn over at all. I was hoping it was the battery but that is not the case. The headlights do not dim when ignition turned to start. I hooked up jumper cables and nothing changed. I am thinking starter solenoid or starter motor is seized up. Will troubleshoot tomorrow in daylight. Anybody had this problem?

I have a 2010 expedition as well as my f150 and about 2 weeks ago my wife called and said that it would not turn over, lights and everything else worked though, I went out, put some jumper cables on and no joy at all, would not crank even after leaving the cables connected for over 30 minutes. Even with jumper cables disconnected, the battery read 11.89 volts, but it would not turn over. Had it towed home, tested the battery at autozone next morning, and turned out it failed the load test. New battery, no more issues.
These trucks really act strange with a bad battery or bad alternator, hope you get it sorted out. Let us know.

Can you hear the starter relay clicking? That would be the first thing to check, if it put too much strain on the battery trying to start it, the starter fuse should have popped and then no more starting for you, I also have a not so safe way of testing the starter, hook some jumper cables to your battery, connect the red one to the terminal of red wire on the starter, and touch the black one to the black wire on your starter, if it's good, you will hear it spin. This method bypasses all the safety features and uses Every bit of juice your battery has to try to crank it, only do it for a second and have a ABC fire extinguisher handy just in case, never had to use the fire extinguisher myself but precautions are always nice. But I also agree with the above, a weak battery will also cause this even though it's reading good voltage.

Just use a screwdriver to jump the terminals on the solenoid. That will tell you if the solenoid is your problem or not. If you jump them and it turns the starter then the power is not getting past your solenoid and that is probably your problem. If not then you have a problem else where. Also a simple fix that a lot of people over look is to clean your connections. Bad connection at the battery WILL do similar as what you're describing.

Sent it to the shop and it was the starter. $488 to get it back on the road. Part of that is the towing bill that I will get back from insurance
