Default 2006 F150 - 33" Trail Grapplers

I'm looking to put 33" Trail Grapplers on my 06 crewcab because personally I think 35's are too big a tire for this size of truck. Does anyone know if I could fit 33's on stock ride height or would I have to go with a leveling kit? I think the stock "raked" look would look good with aftermarket tires and would like to go with it if possible. Also I'm looking at Fuel Hostage rims (17 inch) and want to have at least a 3 or so inch dish so the tires can stick out a bit. I'm new to trucks so any advice is appreciated (this is the look I want but not totally sure what all I should be worried about).

There is a thread stickied at the top that covers this topic. I don't know if you are 4x4 or 2x4, but that thread will have all of your answers.

I have 295/70/17 Trail Grapplers and they just barely clear the bumper (no trimming). That's with an AS 2" level kit up front and 3" block in the back.

I believe you can will be able to put them on how it sits stock. A buddy had the 33" trail grapplers set up on his 04 and I dont think he had a leveling kit when he got the tires.

On a stock truck without leveling kit you can run 33X12.5" tires if it is a 4WD and 31X12.5" tires if it is a 2WD, using stock wheels.

On a leveled truck(2" kit and larger) you can run 35X12.5" tires on a 4WD and 33X12.5" tires on a 2WD truck, using the stock wheels.

Using aftermarket wheels you can run 35s on a 4WD if the wheels follow these guidelines:
-For an 8" wide wheel the backspacing is 5.5 inches.
-For and 8.5" wide wheel the backspacing needed is 5-6 inches.
-For an 9" wide wheel the backspacing is 4.5-5.5 inches.

For a 2WD truck and after market wheels you can run 33s with wheels that fit withen these specs.
-For an 8" wide wheel the backspacing is 5.5 inches.
-For and 8.5" wide wheel the backspacing needed is 5-6 inches
-For an 9" wide wheel the backspacing is 4.5-5.5 inches.

33s will fit, but with stock wheels or similar backspaced wheels. If you want them to stick out, you will need the level to fit the 33s.
