For 4x4 trouble shooting, the best thread I know is the one in our sticky section...
The one in the “other stuff” off site section; “everything you ever wanted to know about the IWE” by xjcamaro.
It sounds like you might have an issue with iwe. Those can fail mechanically as well as have vacuum problems.
When my system crapped out it was several issues at the same time. The sound my truck made was intermittant and sounded like a piece of sheet metal dragging on the ground near the wheel(s).
