Must be something wrong with the aim of your headlights. I have stock bulbs in mine and I've always thought they really gave out some great light on the road.

And other vehicles I own or have owned:
Ford Freestyle (average light output, halogen bulbs, stock lighting)
BMW 330i (good output, xenon projectors, stock and 5000k DS2 bulbs give the same output)
Ford Contour (not good output, probably the worst of the vehicles I've owned, nothing helped, scrapped the car over 5 years ago though)
Nissan Quest (good output, halogen bulbs in stock projectors)

Out of all of these my F150 is probably the best of all of them in terms of coverage and depth, and overall output. Nothing has ever compared to when I turn on the high-beams in this truck, the high-beams give some great output.

I dont think the fact that I'm running the Hella headlights make any difference either. When I installed them I didn't notice any gains in output or coverage over my stock headlamps.

They seem to be aimed correctly. If I aim them at a wall from six feet the beam is about 6" below the top of where my hood would touch the wall.

If anyone has any tips on aiming them better, I know how to adjust them I'm just not sure where they should point.
