Ford Service Manual

I highly recommend alldatadiy.com for online access and searchability for very reasonable price (my 5 year subscription with everything was only $30)

I'm having the same issue with the headlights. Went and bought a new headlight switch figure that would fix the problem, but after I installed the new switch same thing happens. So the Computer down on the right hand corner on the passenger side needs replaced?

I have a 2004 f150 and my problem was with the bsm behind the rear seat, driver side. I isolated it down to one connector input/output. I opened the module to see if there was intermittent electrical connection due to poor solder joint or something but wasnt able to identify anything i could fix on my own. When operating my auto lights, they would flicker and the module would get very hot. So is suspect a short internal to the circuit board or a component. I would gently wiggle the wire harness at the module while the automatic lights are on and could cause it to occur. All that said, i ditto mcblake's response.

I'm looking to get my BSM replaced for my 05 since my autos have stopped working as well. I saw that the pin for that function was black and melted on the BSM so obviously that's the issue. The lights would work when I pressed the BSM cover inward so it must be a connection issue within. I forgot my part number on it but I'm to understand that basically all of the BSM work universally across the years? I get that I may need to get it programmed by the dealership unless the ford it came out of had the same features as mine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/04-08-Ford-...VZm4k~&vxp=mtr
