2005 f150 brake problem

I just got premium rotors from brake performance. I expected a one piece, but they sent me the two piece, and they are awesome. I got my second set of Carquest blues, love them. A tip for those with stuck on hubs, I took off the spindle nut, then rocked the tire while the lugs were still on and got the leverage to get it off. Total time in, less than 3 hours. This might be the best improvement since the driveshaft replacement. This is the first time since I got this truck with no vibes from anything.

Well went to the deanship today, and they said my front rotors were warped, but they could resurface them. They also said since the previous owner had some aftermarket brakes on they could have been responsible for the vibrations. When I asked if they checked the brake booster the guy on the phone was like "I've never heard of a brake booster" so I'm pretty sure they didn't check it out. Since the hard brake pedal only happened once, and when they drove it they didn't get it to happen I guess I will just have to wait for it to happen again. Im hoping there was just air in the brake line, and when they changed the brakes out the lines being bled fixed the problem.

Honestly I haven't looked into my trucks brakes yet and I'm wondering if theses trucks have hydraulic brakes and if they do they wouldn't have a big vacume operated booster I know the 03/04 cobra ran them I just never known if that fell over to the newer trucks. But glad to hear all you need is you rotors to be turned and pads that's better than needing new ones.

The vibrations are your warped rotors. I'm surprised your service rep didn't know what a brake booster is. Your hard pedal may have been caused by insufficient vacuum on your booster. If your rotors are warped having the dealer resurface them may not do you any good. I would consider just replacing them. I would also consider taking your truck to another shop if it's not already too late.

Yea when I tightened them to 200 the hub wouldn't turn freely. Idk how 295 is the magic number but I figured there alot more weight behind your truck than behind your hand so I did the 295 lol

Just checked my truck it has a booster and 2x surprised service rep didn't know what a brake booster is but if you only had hard pedal once and it doesnt do it anymore probably something to do with the rotors and probably not a big deal.
