Default 2005 F-!50 Toolbox vs Bed cover

I need some advice.. when I bought my truck about 2 weeks ago it had a Gator bed cover on it.. I really love it, but I want something like a Black Kobalt tool box.. but I really don't want to give up the sleek look of the bed cover.. are there any toolboxes that fit under the cover or something? any advice would be much appreciated.

TruXedo and Bak have a couple to look at that are supposed to be able to conceal under the the tonneau cover.

This works out perfect for me. $45 from Menards for a big plastic box. Hinged, watertight, and has a lock if you need that kind of thing. Fits just up under my cover, and has a ton of room in it. Need to haul something big? Take it out. A toolbox on a crewcab, just makes the bed useless in my mind.

I have a big plastic container running sideways with a 2x4 cut to fit in the slots of bed liner to hold it in place back by the tailgate.

I have the Bak Flip tonneau cover on mine and wanted the same thing, but the dealer told me that the slide out tool box/tray that attachs to the front the the Bac Flip is pretty much useless as far as it not being deep in height or depth enough to put a lot of kit in it and a pain in the butt when you slide it out to actually use it. I went with a medium size plastic tool tool box which I have secured down with large anchor screws to the two 'D-rings' on either side of the box. Just my opinion though.

Forgot to mention that. I have one of those adjustable cargo bars between the wheel wells to hold it back against the tailgate as well.

When I used a truck as my office (older F150), I had an Undercover bed cover and 2 rolling job site boxes. They were easily accessed by raising the cover and lowering the tailgate, and because they're job boxes, they each have a handle and wheels.

I kept them from moving around with small ratchet straps to the bed anchor points. I started with 2 boxes held in place with the 2x10 across the bed, but with 2-50gal job boxes, they're too big for that and the ratchet straps were needed.
