2005 Blinker Mod
You got me curious so I hit up rock auto to take a look. It appears that the 2004-2008 trucks use a Turn Signal Relay while all the other later trucks don’t appear to do so. It also appears that our trucks use an old school flasher to control them.
I’m purely guessing at this, but I would take that to mean that the turn signals in our trucks aren’t computerized, while the signals in the later trucks are.
so to add the “Tap to Pass” feature as a lot of car makers call it, I would guess you would need to replace the relay with some sort of programmable one.
This is all speculation though. I could be way out to lunch.

It also appears that some car manufacturers (in the case of this link VW) achieved tap to pass with a retrofit relay. You’d have to look up the wiring diagram for the signals on our trucks and then figure out if it would be comparable, or alternatively find an older car with tap to pass that is and retrofit it in.
