I have a 2004 supercrew and both mirrors will not work. I took it to the dealer and they pt 2 new ones on , not the fix. I read the post about the orange wire with green stripe and have looked fir the splice ut have not found it yet. any addvice would help.
Thanks

First off, I hope they (Ford dealer) did not charge you for these two mirrors. I'm floored that they assumed both mirrors were bad, and did not do a simple check of checking for voltage at the harnesses that connect to each mirror. Logic tells one that if two mirrors are not working, then there has to be a common fault to both, such as power to the switch, or a ground. I'd have removed the switch and checked for voltage. It's one of those switches that you rotate left to adjust the left mirror, or rotate right to adjust the right mirror?

Remove it, and use a meter or a simple test probe and see if you have voltage to this switch. If not, then start tracing the power lead back to the fuse panel for opens. Also check the ground to this switch; it may be open.

Then find a new dealer for repairs!
