2004 f150 airbag lights not working correctly
my truck started flashing an airbag code yesterday it seems to flash 3 times then pause then flash 3 times then stop for a longer period of time, it does this about 9 times then stops and stays solid. figured the code would be 33? which is a passenger airbag high resistance or something along those lines. also my "airbag off" light above my radio is not working correctly it turns on and then off after a few seconds when i start the truck like it should then turns off when noone is sitting there whick it should stay on when there is noone in the seat. so i thought about it for a second then had someone sit in the seat, the light stayed off like it should but when they got up the light turned on and then shut off about 2 seconds later. the light is plugged in and doesnt seem to be damaged. both these problems seem to be relating to a common cause. any ideas? thanks

Check the connector and or wiring under the passenger seat for loose connections or chaffing (shorting out). Otherwise, the passenger seat may have a bad "bum" sensor; it thinks there is weight in the seat.

yea i replaced that, that fixed my light above the radio. but the airbag light is still flashing 3-3 i looked it up on alldata it says to check the driver safety belt pretensioner circuit 1079(LG/RD) and circuit 1080 (LG/BK) for low resistance. then further in depth it says to measure the resistance between rcm c310b pin 32 circuit 1080 and pin 31 circuit 1079 harness side.
and if the resistance is lower than 1,000,000 ohms to repair the circuit 1080 and 1079.
but i dont know where the rcm is and im not sure if i should unplug that without the diagnostic tool to shut the whole safety/airbag system down?

that weight sensor that is in the seat you have to buy an assembly for and its 1500 dollars lol. good news is it wasnt that some how the seat belt pretensioner sensor wires got mangled so i spliced them back together and fixed the problem.
so you were right bucko the thing is i went to the dealership and the tech told me it was the passenger seat, it was actually the driver seat so thats what threw me off in the first place.
