2004 f150
Pulled in my driveway and it died on me. It’s getting spark and fuel number 1 cylinder is at 95lbs. All it will do is turn over won’t start. 2004 F150 5.4 285,000 miles new plugs coil packs. Tried cranking it today and backfired loud enough to sound like gun going off.

The low compression on one cylinder won't prevent starting. The backfire tells me it is likely out of time. Sounds like timing components. But I would check for vacuum leaks and i would also check my speed/crank sensor.

Just a guess - FPDM needs to be inspectedA high failure part for rust belt vehicles is the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM). The FPDM is located above the spare tire (needs to be removed to gain access) on the frame cross member and is subject to fail due to galvanic corrosion between the FPDM aluminum back cover and the steel cross member. You should remove (2 bolts) the FPDM and inspect, especially the back cover, for signs of deterioration. Severe deterioration will expose the circuit boards and lead to all sorts of starting and running issues. Clean the ground wire located just left of the FPDM. It is possible that the FPDM has already been replaced and you can tell if it has by visually inspecting the area under the mounting bolts and looking for spacers that are installed to prevent direct contact between the steel and aluminum.

How did you confirm fuel and spark?
