I am new to the 2004-2008 forum--with previously owning a 2013 F150 STX SCAB. I've purchased a clean 2004 FX4, super crew, tiny 5.6" bed, and a factory new 5.4L. I am curious what the differences are from the model years? I hear people talking 2004-2005 and 2006-2008... so I am guessing there were mid cycle design changes to the exterior/interior? Any information anyone would be so kind to share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

 

FX4 is what you said..But, it can have options too, 04-05 same 06-08 very slight change ...like round fog lights vice square.. motors with a build date of 10/07 and above will have the up dated heads...not sure what differences exactly your looking for..

 

I was just curious what the changes were from '04-08. As when looking at aftermarket accessories I was seeing the '04-05 and '06-08 when it came to things. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

 

I've owned an '05, and now an '07. There is a difference in the front/rear bumpers. Cosmetically as to how they fit the body is still the same, but the mounting and inner construction are different. Of course, like stated, the fog lights are round and the lower grille opening is smaller, but not much else as far as accessory fitment. Have a particular item in mind?

Currently I have OEM running boards and OEM fender flares on my truck from a 2013 Supercrew.
