Ive decided to take my truck to Arizona dyno-chip and purchas a sct tuner and pay them to tune it on there dyno. Ive decieded however that any bolt on stuff should probably get put on prior to the tune, so I wanted to know who makes headers for the 2004 4.6 besides JBX. JBX seem real nice but there like 650 bucks, ive seen headers on ebay, for mustangs with a 4.6 for as little as 179.00 and thats about where id like to be. Also has anyone tried to fit mustang headers on an f150. Ive heard they wont inner change, however i wonder if anyone has tried it. its the same block, perhapse it would just be a little short and i could fabricate a pipe closer in or out. Also besides an intake are their any other mods anyone would recomend before i send her in to the dyno to get tuned. by the way its gonna be 700 for a SCT tuner and a custom dyno tune. is that pretty good or not really

imo i think $700 is expensive. you can go on ebay and get a brand new chip for around $250. obviously you'd still have to pay for the custom tune. if it helps i've researched trying to install a 4.6 mustang supercharger on my 4.6 f150, but they aren't compatible, so i would guess it would be the same for other parts as well.
